Customer Avatar Assignment of Digital Deepak Internship Batch 3

Hello Friends,

Rohit Kadolkar here, This is my second post expressing what I am learn in the second class of Digital Deepak internship program to become better digital marketer.

We have to get things done on time, perfection in work will come with practice, patience, and experience. If you are doing mistakes it means that you are taking action on your work which good sign.
Getting things done on time is more important than things done perfectly.

Learn > Do > Teach

It tells that whatever you learn you have to apply practically and then teach somebody to understand in a better way. This model is called a golden triangle. We learn many things in life but we remeber those things which we actually do and teach to others.

Mistakes are the future benefits:

While learning skills mistakes will happen but these will make perfect in a particular skill. No one is perfect everybody does mistakes. So do not worry about mistakes by doing practice we will minimize it.

Marketing is all about good conversation:

 If you can't communicate with one to one then you cannot converse with one too many. When you talk with the audience they should feel like they are talking with a friend. Marketing is not just promoting products it also builds a relationship with customers. 
To build trust you have to make good conversations with the audience.
 Marketing is a process of building trust with the people. To build trust with your audience one of the major factor is one on one communication.

Be Authentic:

This approach was a new lesson for me as well. People prefer genuine people not fake ones. If you are genuine, you will easily gain the trust of the people. Never change yourself for other people just be yourself so that like-minded people will like you and other people who have different opinions may not like you. It depends on the understanding of the individual but be yourself. To make good connections with people you should be authentic. Everyone is attracted to someone real. Authencity is very important for building a relationship with the people.


Who is a better marketer?

As a marketer, you have to try different things, travel to different places, learn new skills, gain various experiences which help to become a better marketer. People with more life experiences are better marketers. Attend conferences that help you to get more knowledge. Be flexible. As a good marketer, you have to connect different things such as while writing a sales copy you are trying to pull out different angles, different experiences to connect with your audience. Be comfortable for people that challenge your beliefs.

Who is your audience?

"If everyone is your audience then no one is your audience". These sentences state that you have to target a specific group of people according to your business. As a marketer, you are trying to converse with a lot of people.

How to define your target audience?

 By understanding demographics and psychographics of the audience. Though you have a big audience everyone is alone with their device.
To determine the target customer survey plays an important role.
As a marketer, you should communicate with the audience in a simple language. Demographics include age, sex, City, Annual income, Education, etc.

 How to communicate with customers?

You should talk with them in a simple language. We use different channels to communicate with customers such as E-mails, Facebook posts.
I understand that e-mail communication is more powerful than other social media channels. When writing an email you have to keep in mind that you are writing to a single customer at a time. 
Try to be very simple in your communication. 
Join the mental conversation with people who already have in their minds. The Law of large numbers means that you can predict the outcome of a random event for reasonable accuracy when you have large numbers included.

While writing an e-mail should follow the below steps:

  • Address people with their first name.
  • Headline > First sentence > Second sentence > Third > Fourth
Headline which attract user attention to read the article. You have maintained the interest of the user by writing sentences related to the article.

Focus on the center, not on the border:

The main focus on the maximum percentage of people. As my niche is digital marketing so I provide my services to bussiness, not everyone is my audience. Firstly decide your niche then take a survey of your audience.

The customer avatar is the detailed profile of your ideal customer. It helps us to target the specific group of audience which produce great results. The avatar focuses on one person and outline everything about them. It is very important to create a customer avatar for your ideal customer.

Awkwardness is an indicator of learning:

It is also an indicator of changing your belief system. When you have to learn or do something new you feel uncomfortable. To become a better marketer we must face challenges. Get comfortable with awkwardness which creates a new path in the neural network. Try to break patterns which leads to becoming a better marketer.
